Feature level sampling is here with version 9
I was delighted with a series of internal demonstrations yesterday. One presented “Monitoring Sampling by Feature”.
Have a look at the diagram: notice the drop down box with “Percentage of Features”. In the past, of course, the sample was a percentage of Sites and all Features on each site were included in the Batch. In addition, three extra filters appear on the revised screen – above the drop down box and to the left – there is a “Named Selection”, “Feature group” and “Feature like” filter.
For Performance Monitoring users, this is brilliant. Another great reason to get version 9 installed as soon as…

Local Government IT excellence awards 2009
Three organisations sponsor the Local Government IT Excellence awards – SOLACE, SOCITM and Intellect. The awards are now open and I know of many Confirm users who have an excellent story to tell and thus a decent chance of winning.
Do you know about these awards? Are you interested?
Follow the link to find out more: IT Excellence awards 2009
The awards should be submitted by Monday 10th August and questions can go to Carla Baker on 020 7331 2164 carla.baker@intellect.org
We are setting up a Customer Advisory Panel (CAP) in relation to Street Works Permits.
Confirm has a fully functional Street Works Permits module that many Confirm users have already purchased. Some will implement it sooner than others; indeed, some have not yet submitted a scheme for approval. The London Scheme is an example of a Permits Scheme that will be implemented between October and December this year and many Authorities outside London will be watching.
The CAP will bring together our Development Team and Highways Authority Street Works experts who are about to implement a scheme so that we “follow our software into the field”. (“User Centred Design” principles.)
The Confirm Permits module will be enhanced again with close feedback from real users who have had their scheme authorised and now know the detail. They will have a chance to test the software with their data both at the CAP meeting(s) and in a virtual on-line facility that we have created for them.
We are looking forward to our meeting on 15th July in our London Office. If you think you should also be there, please contact me – as it applies to Confirm users, please email me or call me on our normal number. If you want to talk about it more, also call or email me….or post a comment – I get them all!
Updates will be provided as the deadline approaches…it’s quite exciting!
